Service Description

Junior coaching at South West Golf Academy is about more than teaching a golf swing. Wayne helps young golfers build sound fundamentals, understand cause and effect, and develop the confidence to trust what they have learned. Lessons are kept clear, practical and suited to each junior’s age, experience and goals. Rather than filling young players with complicated swing thoughts, Wayne uses simple instruction, demonstration and video to help them see and feel the movement they are trying to create. Mental skills are developed alongside technique. Golf is 20% technique and 80% mental. Juniors learn how their thoughts can influence their shots, how to respond after mistakes and how to rehearse positive outcomes instead of repeatedly practising the movement they are trying to change. Whether a junior is discovering golf for the first time, playing socially or working towards competitive golf, the focus is on building skills and belief that will support them for years to come.
